Personal CG meeting at Wageningen University and Research

Last month, the EBU Alliance Coordination Group (CG) met in person at the wonderful campus of Wageningen University and Research (WUR). Thanks to our local hosts, the CG had the pleasure to get a tour of the campus, including discovering the new and almost energy neutral educational building AURORA.

The CG was warmly welcomed by the Rector Magnificus of Wageningen University and Research, Prof. Arthur Mol, and his insights jump started discussions which would shape the two days of the EBU meeting.

Amongst other topics, the next Presidency as well as the new strategy for EBU governance and development in the coming years were discussed as our alliance will soon reach its 3 years of existence and aims to consolidate its position as a key long-term stakeholder in the European bioeconomy ecosystem. Approaches for wider dissemination of EBU latest position paper describing the alliance as an alternative and innovative European University Alliance model was also considered.  Finally, the need to foster scientific network between (young) researchers was clearly highlighted and will be on the top of EBU priority list.

Stay tuned to learn more soon about EBU activities!
